The Sanilac County Great Start Collaborative is a partnership of parents, community leaders, educators, service providers, and organizations working together to support young children and their families. Our mission is to ensure that every child in Sanilac County is safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school and life.

 

What is the Great Start Parent Coalition?
The Sanilac County Great Start Parent Coalition is a group of parents, caregivers, and community members who advocate for the needs of families with young children. The Coalition plays an active role in shaping local programs and services and provides a platform for parents to share their voices, experiences, and ideas.

What age range does Great Start focus on?
Our work focuses on children from birth through age eight and their families. These early years are foundational to lifelong learning, health, and success.

What types of programs or services does Great Start offer?
The Sanilac County Great Start Collaborative connects families to community resources, promotes early literacy and kindergarten readiness, supports parenting education, and works to improve access to health, nutrition, and early childhood programs. While we don’t offer direct services, we help families find and access the resources they need.
